Just a little series of the damn cutest baby around....her new (adorable) hat is from friend Bridget Wilson- thanks, we love it!
We wanted a place to share stories, pictures, and well, Lulu and Henry, with family and friends who don't have the pleasure of living in Charlotte. Enjoy.

Lovely Sunday Morning
Blanket lounging with her new friends in the nursery.
3 generations of Gartlans
Sunlight mouth gazes out the window.
Power to the people, right on.
Louise's First Lobster (Thanks, Bebe and Poppy!)
Bebe and Poppy sent Louise a really tasty gift on Friday: Lobsters from Maine. I put them in the boiling water and Granny helped us de-shell the lobsters. We had a great meal with plenty of lobster, twice baked potatoes, and cole slaw. It was so good.

Lulu's First Walk in the Park with Granny, Mom, and Dad (Freedom Park in Charlotte)
Everyone transitioned out of the car and is ready for a nice walk in the park.
Notice Molly feels a bit chilly.
Adorbs!
No, Molly is not making an earthy fashion statement, she was down right cold.
Outside temperature was 60 degrees.
These "nurse logs" prevent the process of siltation from polluting Little Sugar Creek. These particular nurse logs were created by a local artist and installed by area 7th graders. Cool!
Reminds me of Paris.
Picnicking on the wooden benches for the outside amphitheater.
Molly has this sweet little habit of putting her food, chips mostly, directly on her back molars with her fingers. Adorbs!
Molly frolics in the park as Granny wonders why.
Molly and Granny stand in front of the reservoir complete with spraying fountain and gaggle of geese.
Molly fed up with pictures.
Granny holds onto Carolina Thread Trail marker. Carolina Thread Trail is a regional network of greenways and trails that will reach 15 counties in 2 states and 2.3 million citizens running through Freedom Park and behind the Charlotte Nature Museum.
The Charlotte Nature Museum, which sits alongside Freedom Park, opened in 1951 as one of the first facilities in the southeast focused on bringing families and nature together.
Lulu takes a much deserved rest after her first walk in the park. (Even though she technically didn't walk at all and slept most of the time.)
